Upcoming Beer & Homebrew Events at the Shop:
Off Flavors Class + Homebrewer Social
Thursday, February 20th | 7pm - 9pm: Join us for a tasting and mini educational 'class' on the most common off flavors found in homebrewing. We'll provide samples of beer spiked with an off-flavor alongside a control sample for comparison. There will be discussion on what flavor you should be picking up, how the off flavor is created, and how to correct the issue going forth. This is a free event and is open to anyone to attend. As always, please feel free to bring a friend and a few homebrews to share!

International Women's Collaboration Brew Day
Saturday, March 7th | 11am - 2pm: Join Nicole for a brew day at the shop in celebration of the 7th Annual International Women's Collaboration Brew Day.
"Held to coincide with International Women’s Day, is the international collaboration brew day for women brewers all over the world. The event is free for participants and embraces all women who brew, whether it be on a commercial basis or for their home brewing hobby. The aim of the day is for women who are passionate about beer to get together and brew."
This year, women participating in IWCBD are encouraged to brew ‘Tribute’ beers. We can choose to brew a beer in tribute to an individual who has inspired us, a region or country that we are in, or tribute to a beer that made us fall in love with what we do. We'll take a poll a few weeks prior to the event to gather ideas about what we'd like to brew. On brew day, please feel free to join us an hour earlier (at 10am) to help with the recipe creation process. Learn more about the ingredients as they are selected and prepped for brew day.

**You are not required to bring your own equipment or to brew your own individual beer - unless you want to, of course! This event is more so about coming together as a group, formulating a recipe, learning about the beer and brewing process via demonstration, and about camaraderie over a couple brewskies. When the beer is finished in a couple of weeks, you'll all be invited back to the shop to fill up a growler (or more!) of the beer we brewed to take home.
Meet Your Merchants Pie Day
Saturday, March 14 | 11am - 4pm: Come downtown and check out all of the unique shops we have to offer. Downtown Businesses will be hosting open houses and local bakeries will be offering free pie samples! Meet the people who make the magic happen, discover new things about our community, try some tasty pie samples, and leave knowing you’re supporting the community you live in.

Yeast Experiment + Homebrewer Social
Thursday, April 16th | 7pm - 9pm: We'll have a few mini batches of beer available for tasting that showcase the differences between popular yeast varieties, as well as a few to showcase what happens when yeast is under-pitched or fermented too warm. This is a free event and is open for anyone to attend. Must be 21+ years of age to participate in the tasting portion.
This event is also a great opportunity to meet other homebrewers in the area, to chat about beer and the hobby we all love, and to get feedback on your own homebrews. As always, feel free to bring a friend and a few homebrews to share!
