*If keeping the recipe and ingredients the same:
There just wasn't enough "barrel aged" taste. Some, but not enough.
- Consider lowering the IBU's to 70. At warmer temps, the bitterness was apparent, but not overwhelming. Would do better to be a tad less bitter if you're going to do oak chips
- Oak cubes = 3oz (full time), medium plus toast
- Oak CHIPS = 2 oz for last few weeks of fermentation (YOU MUST TASTE AS IT FINISHES)
And don't forget to bottle some. These ones are really good!!!
Create another recipe with a stronger version. But Allie actually really liked this one.
